well today went downhill fast... 2 in the house got a lovely diagnosis of pink eye so everyone spent the day in seperate rooms. Then my son had a big cubscout thanksgiving dinner and award ceremony that I had to take him to alone only to get called into work 20 minutes into it ughhhh!! I did get a good workout in this morning as the basement was my segregation zone and leveled up my pull ups by adding a 25 lb weight plate to an old climbing harness as a DIY dip belt. Worked perfectly and it cut my max reps in half down to 7 which will be a great spot to work my way back up before adding more weight again. Was kinda surprised it cut it in half though but ohh well time to push it back higher again. Hopefully I can make it through the rest of the night without getting sent back out again. my son was pretty bummed when I got home just now.

Oh shoot - not fun to have pink eye in the house and sorry you got called away from your son's Cubscout award ceremony. Was he up for some awards too? Great workout and a great idea for a climbing belt. Is there a way to cut the climbing harness to make it useless for climbing but yet you can use it for something like this. That is a good idea to use old harness that can no longer be in the work field.

Redporchlady thanks he got his bobcat award tonight luckily my dad and my inlaws came and my dad stood in for me to help out😕 my mom was suppsoe to be there as well but ended up taking my sister to the emergency room instead for a emergency blood transfusion ahhh I knew there was a way longer list of stuff that went wrong today ughhhh... as far as the climbing harness I was able to take the leg loops off without damaging the harness at all I could put it back together and still use it for climbing if I want to and it Is drastically more heavy duty than most of the dip belts you can buy so its actually better.

That sucks.. pink eye is annoying. Been a few years for our house but my nephew is just the right age to bring it back. Lol Disappointing getting called out but your son knows you tried. That counts..

The old Pink Eye. It's pretty common and very contagious in kids. I've only gotten it once and they made me work. Our ER was too short staffed so I had to explain it to all of my patients. It was during the H1N1 pandemic of 2009.

Pink eye sucks! I worked with kids before I retired so I know all about it...hope they are healed quickly!!

Bad memories of pink eye! Been there more than once! Just awful! I’d choose it over headline though! We were never victims of lice, thank God! That was my worse fear when my kids were young!! 😜

APhoebe thanks I really hope he knows I tried he was already upset my wife couldn't go do I know me having to leave was very disappointing for him. Hope the pink eye stays out of uour house ughh it sucks my daughter got it last year as well.
