Haha I saw that im not worried I didnt overdue anything. It's going to take a few days for all the salt I ate to dissipate. The real problem is All the added oils and butter are doing a number on my insides. My body is so not use to added fats like that.

Yup, sounds familiar. This summer I had some Chinese Food with friends while at a Sports Pub (not as strange as it sounds). I didn't overeat at all but still my insides were miserable for the next 2 days. No thank you! Now, I eat before I go and just say "Thanks but I'm good, more for you right?" and change the subject. Works just fine. :-)

Sidnay123 thanks for asking yes everything was great and I didn't overdue anything. It was a great way to solidify the fact that I have truely changed my ways and my new WOE is now a lifestyle and not just a diet. I will still have my dumpster fire days of eating from time to time but making smart sensible choices the other 98 percent of the time is all that matters.👍

D_not_Cupcake awesome!!! Really sounds like we are both making some real lifestyle changes and not just short term dieting. Nothing wrong with enjoying an occasional meal out and some dessert. Gald you had a nice anniversary celebration 15 years puts you in a giant minority in today's society lol the wife and I hit 10 years this summer.

Isn't it crazy how eating outside our normal way of life can make you feel. I almost feel like I have a hangover when I overindulge on things that I normally don't eat!

Redporchlady, I feel like I've been poisoned. And considering the cells are asking for what nutrients they require to thrive and I give them 'not' what they need, I have basically poisoned myself. A harsh reality.

Redporchlady it's amazing how our bodys adapt and just expect to be fed a certain way. I remember when I was eating poorly if I got a big salad instead even that would make me not feel so Great so it definitely can go both ways as well.

Otb, good point on how our bodies react to a 'shock' quick change.

Sometimes people commend me for my willpower on here when I post a meal pic & comment I didn't eat it all. Usually when eating out. It's really cause I can't eat that much anymore. At home I try to prepare servings I know are a reasonable amount. Did I subliminally put it in your mind you wouldn't be able to eat as much as in the past 😊

I've come to a personal conclusion about eating out and In particular so called "fine" dinning. For me it's just not worth it anymore and I really don't enjoy it i always leave somewhat disappointed everytime now. All I taste is the butter and oil and never the true Ingredients and even if I try to get a healthier option it's never actually any healthier because of all the added fats. I still enjoy going out from time to time but I really think I should just order something like a loaded up burger, buffalo wings, a milk shake , fries, pizza etc!! This may sound like madness but I really think calorie wise it's probably comparable and there's no way I will be disappointed with this small highly infrequent splurge. Plus it would be half the price of these expensive meals that I'm not fully satisfied with anyway. So what do you think does this sound crazy or does it actually make sense? My wife and I have had this conversation the past 3 times we have gone out to eat and clearly I keep making that same somewhat disappointing decision.

On the rare occasion that I go out to eat I order an item that I cannot or have not made at home, or something brand new to me. If I like it then I’ll try to make it at home (unless I need special kitchen gadgets).

HaHaHa! I'm with you! If you're going to indulge in something you know you're going to be paying for the next couple of days in misery it should definitely be something you really enjoy while you're eating it 😆😋🤣 (and not have to overpay🤑 'at the pump''cashier''waiter' is just plain smart)

JustBananas nice that's a pretty good idea. 👍 nothing to compare it too then. I'm just at a point where if I'm ordering an expensive steak I want to taste the meat not the butter slathered on top and since that has been everywhere we have gone I might as well just accept it and get some thing else. At home 99 percent of our red meat is venison which is Increadibly lean so if I'm going to have a nice beef steak I want to taste the beef itself. Even trying to pick sides that are healthier and lower calorie they are always soaked in added fats. Ohh well I should just accept it I guess.

LivinBreezy thanks I'm glad someone else agrees its not fully crazy. my biggest hang up is we really only go out now for special occasions and going to a pizza place, or a burger joint doesn't really spell out a special occasion evening out without the kids.
